hi archrajarao.

hi there! i need your advice for the interviews for obgyn!! Could you please tell what are PD's looking in for in a obgyn applicant!!
i had been thru ivs for obgyn in this match..i cudnot make out what exactly the faculty is trying to see in a future resident!! how to express your passion for the speciality and your interest in the program you are interviewing!! As i am last yr graduate with no obgyn experience, dnt have any clues what should be ur strengths to be an obgyn!! looking forward to your guidance for interviews! thanks..

hi archrajarao.

Hi,
Just keep emailing other residency programs & let them know you are really interested. It is still very early in the interview season. You can still get emails/ calls as late as Jan. So, just hang in there & keep emailing, applying to programs. Be very positive & let them know that U r very interested in OBGYN. All you need is one very good interview to match! Also, just in the rare eventuality that u do not get into OBGYN, but do match in Int med, you can always switch after your first year or even during your first year if someone drops out of a program. Keep watching the ACOG website www.acog.org and click on residents & then CREOG clearing house. Here, you will see available positions.. Hope this helps..
Good luck with the match & the interviews..
